Product Description
CMS Putty Pads are acoustic, intumescent putty pads designed for lining electrical socket boxes in dry walls. The pads reduce sound travel thorough the walls and provide fire resistance, whilst maintaining the acoustic integrity of the wall.
Applications
CMS Putty Pads comply with building regulations Part E and Part B and are an ideal method of sealing electrical service penetrations, such as sockets, in Robust Detail timber frame and metal frame separating walls.
The pads are supplied as a one-size-fits-all strip on a reel and are suitable for single and double sockets in both residential and commercial applications. They can be used inside the socket or externally. The pads can also be removed and replaced if necessary, although multiple applications may reduce adhesion strength. The strong, malleable putty avoids accidental tearing or puncturing, and adds flexibility during fitting.
