Karmafloor Acoustic Batten for new build and refurbishment floors
Karmafloor Acoustic Batten is suitable for use in new build and refurbishment timber and concrete separating floors. The batten is used for even surfaces where only a simple acoustic solution is required. The battens are FFT1 and FFT3 compliant for Robust Details E-FC-1, 2, 7, E-FS-1 and E-FT1, 2, 3.
Product Description
- Dressed softwood timber batten with a uniquely formulated and contoured resilient foam layer adhered to the underside. Manufactured from:
- Osmose treadted timber, currently the most environmentally friendly preservation available
- 100% recyclable closed cell, non crosslinked foam, which meets the requirements of EN 12402-7:2006 clauses 4.8.2.3 and 4.8.2.4 for thermal stability and compressibility.
Product Features
- Three depths available - 52mm, 67mm and 77mm nominal. Depth measurements are based on full domestic loading having been applied. For uncompressed dimensions add 3mm.
- Owing to the high compressive strength of the foam the resilience is strong, resulting in minimum deflection under load. As such only one type of batten is required, removing the inconvenience of a separate high load-bearing product.
- The distinctive surface relief of the foam layer minimises contact between the lower surface of the batten and the sub-floor, whilst the special chemical composition creates a material with excellent acoustic properties.
