Product Description
An Intumescent sealing strip for larger joints. Firestem™ intumescent expansion joint is a fire retardant foam faced both sides with Firestem™ Seal.
Strips come in lengths of 1 metre.
Suitable for gaps in walls, floors ranging between 8mm and 100mm wide.
Product is friction fitted.
Firestem™ intumescent expansion joint is designed for ease of installation and to be cost effective, the solution for stopping flexible gaps in fire rated building elements. Gaps from 8mm to 110mm and up to 4 hours integrity.
Technical Information
Firestem™ foam incorporates the very best quality open-cell fire resistant foam, bonded to own unique high performance intumescent material Graphite. Tested to achieve class O of British Regulations (BS 746 Parts 6 and 7) does not flame but slowly degrades to leave an inert self-insulating char.
Performance
Fire rated up to 4 hours tested to BS476 Part 20.
Firestem™ intumescent expansion joint is simple to install, flexible, and can be installed to wet surfaces.
