Firestem Fire Plug Pillow

Product Description

The Firestem™ Fire Plug Pillow is an extremely versatile, fast method of sealing holes or openings around cable trays, or pipes in floors or walls to prevent the passage of fire between compartments. When renovations are carried out, necessitating "poke throughs" being made in walls or floors, these holes are sometimes left overnight. The Firestem™ Fire Plug Pillow is the perfect solution.

The pillow consists of a bag filled with an intumescent material which expands on exposure to heat sealing off the opening.

Installation

In 1 hour situations, the pillows are installed with the 200mm dimension through the wall. For 1½ to 4 hour applications, the pillows are installed with the 300mm dimension through the wall. Before placing the pillows in position ensure that the filling material is evenly distributed throughout the pillow by patting the pillow flat.
