Rockwool Roll is a medium density multi-application insulation mat.

The versatile Roll is suitable for thermal insulation of roof spaces in domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. It is also useful for improving the acoustic performance of suspended ceilings.

Roll is produced on 1200mm width. The packaging provides cutting guidelines should the product be required in 400mm or 600mm widths. By cutting through the product with a long serrated blade, this will ensure the material can be cut to the desired widths.

Changes to Rockwool Roll & Rollbatt Products

100mm Rockwool Roll / Twin Roll Rockwool have developed a new Roll product that
has increased tensile strength & handlability. This product is called Twin Roll, and is 2 x 100mm rolls of insulation in 1 pack.

■ Rockwool Roll 100mm was previously provided in one continuous length of 4800mm.
■ With Twin Roll, the insulation is provided in two 100mm thick layers, with a roll length of 2750mm.
■ This means an increase from 5.76 m2 to 6.6 m2 per pack when used in a 100mm application.

Product Benefi ts of Twin Roll

■ The shorter length makes Twin Roll easier to handle and lay in confi ned loft spaces, as well as offering more m2 coverage.
■ Twin Roll has dual benefi ts;
• It can be used as a single 200mm top-up layer over joists,
• or by separating the two layers for use as a 100mm roll between joists.
■ Laying 100mm Twin Roll between the joists, plus overlaying the joists with 200mm Twin Roll will provide a U-value of 0.14 W/m2K (exceeds the minimum U-value of 0.16 W/m2K as required by building regulations).

New 220mm Rockwool Roll
■ 220mm roll is a new thickness, brought in to help meet recent changes to Part L thermal regulations.
■ Laying 100mm Twin Roll between the joists and then overlaying with 220mm roll will provide a U-value of 0.13 W/m2K, which can help achieve the new build dwelling requirement under Part L 2010.
■ The 220mm Roll is 2500mm in length, offering 3.0m2 coverage per pack.
