Pitched-roof eaves ventilation using Jabvent The Jabvent insulating eaves ventilator is a patented EPS-moulded unit designed to retain mineral-fibre ceiling insulation at the eaves, and to provide permanent ventilation to a cold pitched-roof space. It is positioned between the rafters, sitting on, and being fixed to the timber wallplate, to which it also provides insulation. Product Description Jabvent is available in standard size: length, 565mm; to suit 35mm timber rafters at 600mm centres. It is EPS 70 as defined in BS EN 13163 containing a flame retardant additive. Approvals Jabvent is covered by UK patent number 2254348 and is registered design number 201880. It is accepted for use in this application by NHBC.
