Product Description

GTEC Megadeco
Part of the Predeco plasterboard system, used for drylining walls or constructing partitions and ceilings. It has one white face suitable for direct decoration and one grey reverse face. It offers all the time saving benefits of Lafarge Predeco wallboard and adds the fire resistance of Firecheck and the improved acoustic performance of Sound Resistant wallboard.

Fire Protection - Fire spread
GTEC Megadeco are defined as Class 0 in accordance with the National Building Regulations 1991 and Approved Document B1/2/3/4/5 (Fire Safety) and Building Standards (Scotland) Regulations 1990, Regulation D2 when tested to BS 476 : Part 6 : 1989 and Part 7 : 1987. The gypsum core is classified as non-combustible when tested in accordance with BS 476 : Part 4 : 1970.

Fire Resistance and sound insulation
One layer of Megadeco has superior fire resistance and sound insulation compared with one layer of fire resistant gypsum wallboard.

Strength
The superior transverse and longitudinal strength of Lafa GTEC Megadeco means that they have better impact resistance and better fixing strength than standard gypsum wallboard.
