Product Description

GTEC Vapour board
A wallboard for any drylining application requiring a vapour control layer. It has a dense high purity gypsum core between two high quality paper liners and with a metalised polyester film on one face. The metalised polyester film contributes to a water vapour resistance exceeding 100MNs/g when tested in accordance with BS 7374 : 1990.
The other face is either ivory or grey. The ivory face is suitable for taping and jointing. The ivory or grey face can be used for direct gypsum plaster applications.

Authority
GTEC Vapour board complies with BS 1230 : Part 1 : 1985 for Type 1 gypsum wallboard.

Weight
As for Standard wallboard.

Fire Protection
GTEC Vapour board has been shown through testing to be capable of providing an excellent degree of fire resistance, varying with the application and number of layers used.

Thermal Properties
Thermal conductivity is as for Standard wallboard.
Thermal resistance (R) values are:
9.5mm thickness 0.410 mm²K/W (Standard wallboard)
12.5mm thickness 0.430 mm²K/W (Standard wallboard)
12.5mm thickness 0.400 mm²K/W (Firecheck wallboard)
15.0mm thickness 0.410 mm²K/W (Firecheck wallboard)
These values include thermal resistance of both the plasterboard and the cavity when the metalised film is facing the cavity.

Water vapour resistance
The water vapour resistance of GTEC Vapour board exceeds 100MNs/g when tested in accordance with BS 7374 : 1990.
