Speedline Wall Furring
Product Description
Speedline Wall Furring section offers a pratical, cost-effective lining solution that meets the needs of fast-track building methods by replacing the wet trade alternative. The sections can be used in combination with a range of gypsum plasterboards and thermal laminates to line dry and protected brick, block and concrete backgrounds. This system is a low thermal capacity lining, which has a crack-resistant surface for either direct decoration or ceramic tiles and is compatible with Speedline partition and suspended ceiling systems. This system should not be used to isolate dampness or in persistently humid environments.
The Speedline Wall Furring Section is fixed into place using dabs of bonding compound approximately 200mm long at 450mm centres. Wall Furring must be fitted horizontally at the floor and ceiling. The vertical lengthsof section must be fitted at 600mm centres. If ceramic tiles are being installed the centres must be reduced to 400mm.
Heavy or medium to heavy fixtures such as heating units, radiators, cupboards and wash basins must be fixed with proprietary anchors long enough to pass through the cavity and penetrate the masonry background to a satisfactory depth. Additional framing may be required to support heavyweight items.
